The launch

Record how you launch the exact car you are testing. Keep the build and race distance consistent while comparing attempts; one unusually fast start is not evidence of a repeatable result.

Shifting

Record the timing of each shift and when you use nitrous. A shift pattern is build-specific: compare the exact car variant, stages and fusion parts before using a reference. Indicator timing alone should not be presented as the fastest pattern for every car.

Common mistakes

Changing several controls at once makes results difficult to interpret. Official help says nitrous timing depends on the car and race; it notes that experienced racers wait until the wheelspin indicator stops flashing. Test your own build rather than promising a universal winning pattern.
