At a glance

Keys are used to unlock prizes through Rare Imports in CSR2. Before spending them, check the current offer in the game: the key type, price, available rewards and any event-specific conditions matter more than a general recommendation from an old guide.

Start with the offer, not just your balance

Having enough keys to open an offer does not by itself make it the right choice for your garage. First decide what you are trying to improve. Are you preparing a particular car, working towards an event, or simply exploring what is available?

Next, inspect the relevant Rare Imports screen. Record which key type it requires and what the screen says you can receive. Do not assume two offers have the same contents because their presentation looks similar.

Bronze, silver and gold: a practical comparison

This is a decision checklist rather than a fixed price list. Offers and events can change, so the current game screen is the source to consult before opening anything.

Key typeWhat to check before using it
BronzeThe exact offer, displayed contents and whether those contents fit your current build
SilverThe current car offer and any event information shown alongside it
GoldThe current offer, available rewards and the cost of keeping enough keys for your next goal

Read probabilities carefully

If an offer provides drop information, check the information for that specific offer. A chance of receiving an item is not a promise that your next opening will produce it. Avoid applying a probability from another crate, another event or an old article to what you see now.

If a progression or loyalty reward is displayed, read its conditions separately from the random rewards. Record the requirement exactly as the game shows it rather than assuming it applies everywhere.

A short spending checklist

  1. Identify the car or event you are preparing for.
  2. Check the required key type and displayed cost.
  3. Read the current contents and any available probability information.
  4. Check whether a displayed progression reward has separate conditions.
  5. Decide whether the potential rewards solve your current problem.
  6. Keep track of your remaining balance before opening another offer.

Where can you learn about earning keys?

Use the official Keys help page for the general explanation, then check the current game for activities and reward displays. An old list of quantities or schedules may not reflect the event running today.

Common questions

Does a bigger key balance guarantee the reward I want?

No. Your balance determines what you can afford to open; it does not turn a probability into a guaranteed result.

Should I use every key immediately?

There is no universal answer. The current offer and your next garage goal determine whether spending now is useful.

Why does this guide not list fixed prices for every offer?

A fixed list can become misleading when offers change. Check the displayed offer before spending.
