At a glance

Fusion parts add EVO points to a car rather than PP. They are manufacturer-specific, so identifying the correct manufacturer and available slot is the first step before planning a build.

PP and EVO are not the same thing

The official CSR2 help distinguishes the contribution of fusion parts from PP: fusion parts add EVO. A change in one displayed number should therefore not be described as a change in every performance measure.

Keep a record of your car’s build as well as its displayed numbers. That makes it easier to understand what changed after you installed a part or adjusted a tune. The performance of a particular setup should still be assessed using a documented run rather than a number alone.

Check the manufacturer and slot

Before fitting a part, confirm that it belongs to the manufacturer required by your car. Then check the relevant upgrade screen for an available fusion slot and the part the game requests.

Do not plan around an unrelated part simply because its icon looks familiar. Your inventory may contain resources for several manufacturers and build states.

Where do fusion parts come from?

Official help lists events, multiplayer and Rare Imports among the sources. The specific activity, current reward and any conditions should be checked in the game. This guide does not promise a fixed amount from a particular activity or opening.

Before making a change

Use a short build record:

After a change, update the record. If you also change tuning settings, note that separately; otherwise it becomes difficult to tell which change affected the result.

Fusion parts and Stage 6 parts

These are not interchangeable resources. Fusion parts add EVO through fusion slots. Stage 6 is an upgrade stage, and official upgrade guidance notes that it adds performance and fusion slots.

Having a fusion part does not mean that you also have the appropriate Stage 6 upgrade. Check both parts of the build before following a setup that assumes a fully upgraded car.

Common questions

Are fusion parts universal?

No. Official help describes them as manufacturer-specific. Check the car and requested slot.

Why is a recommended tune different from mine?

First compare the exact car variant, installed stages and fitted fusion parts. A setup based on a different build is not a like-for-like reference.

Should I remove or strip a car to obtain parts?

Do not use a generic article as the sole basis for an irreversible decision. Check the current game explanation and whether you still need the car for another goal. Check the current preview before confirming any irreversible action.
