Understand the four Elite Customs token colours, official earning sources and why current balance limits matter before claiming rewards.

Four colours, separate balances
The official Elite Customs token-limit article identifies green, blue, red and gold tokens. The gold colour is often visually described as yellow. Treat each colour as a separate balance when planning the next upgrade.
An available balance in one colour does not by itself show that you have every resource requested by the next step. Read the exact requirements on the current car’s upgrade screen.
Where official help lists Elite Parts
Official CSR2 help lists ShowDown events, Elite Car milestones and the in-game store as sources of Elite Parts. This identifies possible sources, not a promise of a particular reward from every event.
Check the actual event or milestone reward before planning around it. Record the colour and amount shown, whether you have earned the reward, and whether it still needs to be claimed.
Why balance limits matter
The official token-limit article warns that rewards above the stated balance limits may be lost when claimed. It also says limits are subject to change. For that reason, this guide does not reproduce a fixed cap table as if it were permanently current.
Before claiming a reward, compare your current balance with the applicable limit and the reward amount. If the game display and an old guide differ, consult current official information before proceeding.
Plan the next step, not an imaginary total
A useful plan begins with the car and next visible requirement. Keep a separate note for each colour so that a large overall balance does not hide a shortage in one resource.
- Choose the exact car and upgrade step.
- Record the requested colour and amount from the game.
- Compare the requirement with your current balance.
- Check upcoming rewards and any balance limit before claiming.
- Update your notes after the upgrade or claim.
What this guide does not assume
It does not assume fixed exchange rates, a universal upgrade cost or a guaranteed event payout. Those details need current evidence for the specific action. A resource guide should distinguish a general mechanic from a changing offer.
Are gold tokens the same as regular gold?
Do not group them together in your plan. This article concerns the coloured Elite Customs token balances named in the official help, not the regular gold currency. Check the icon and resource label on the action you intend to take.
